Our new President has signed – what is it 28 executive orders so far?

If you ever needed “talking points” – well, this could fill 30 webinars, 100 podcasts, facebook ads, an unlimited number of emails, and more and more.

You really should be “all over this” for client communications and for creating

The key to getting your marketing noticed?

There was a great line from the movie “Bombshell” about Fox news. The short version of the quote was: “Frighten or Titillate”.

The more complete scene – worth watching and keeping in mind for all of your communications is in this clip. It’s worth watching.

Frighten or Titillate…

Said differently, you want to “get inside the conversation already going on in their head.”

Just take this – whether you are Republican or Democrat (or, Libertarian such as myself) you can’t miss the many, many financial related talking points in this flurry of activity – borrowed from “MarketWatch:”

It’s fascinating to me.

I hear from advisors all of the time. You want me to do marketing that’s current and relevant. You want me to communicate with clients and prospects in ways that get their attention. But, what do I talk about. How do I come up with stuff?

Well, it writes itself if you just pay attention to the News.

There are so many issues for discussion from just 8 days of Executive Orders and other actions. Don’t you think you could pull a BUNCH of topics from that list?

What’s the impact of the Paris Accord, cancelling the Keystone XL pipeline, changes to Immigration Policy. Raising taxes – coming up. It’s endless.

Be “in your face,” pull from the headlines. Frighten or Titillate.

A webinar about the impacts of the new administration would be a natural, of course but there are so many different ways to address all of this stuff.
